The Alternative Investment Management Association (AIMA) has announced the appointment of Anne-Marie Fink as co-chair of the organization’s Global Investor Board. Fink, currently the CIO of private markets and fund alpha at the State of Wisconsin Investment Board, will serve alongside Eduard Van Gelderen, the founding chair of AIMA’s Global Investor Board and CIO of Canada’s PSP Investments.

Fink’s extensive experience in overseeing alternative investments at the State of Wisconsin Investment Board makes her a valuable addition to the AIMA Global Investor Board. The board, established in 2022, focuses on providing insights and research on various topics within the alternative investment space, including ESG, hedge funds, liquidity management, and portfolio construction.

Joining Fink on the board are other prominent CIOs and alternative investment professionals, including Scott Chan of CalSTRS, Tammi Fisher of Australia’s Future Fund, and Yoshi Kiguchi of the Pension Fund of Japanese Corporations.

In a statement, Fink expressed her enthusiasm for her new role, stating, “As Co-Chair of the AIMA Global Investor Board, I’m honored to represent asset owners and investors as we drive sound practices and thought leadership within the alternative asset management community.”

Fink’s background includes previous positions at State Street Global Advisors, Matheys Lane Capital Management, and the Employees Retirement System of Rhode Island. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Yale University and a Master of Business Administration from Columbia Business School.

With Fink’s appointment, AIMA aims to further enhance its efforts in providing valuable insights and fostering connectivity within the alternative asset management industry.
