Milwaukee Real Estate ‘Flipper’ Joseph Nantomah Accused of Stealing Investors’ Money
The self-proclaimed Milwaukee real estate ‘flipper’ Joseph Nantomah is facing accusations of stealing over $300,000 from investors who trusted him with their money. Nantomah, who presents himself as a successful real estate investor, life coach, and entrepreneur, has been accused of securities fraud in a lawsuit filed in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin.
According to the lawsuit, Nantomah solicited investments from clients through presentations, seminars, and social media, promising guaranteed returns within a specific timeframe by flipping properties for profit. However, several clients, including Tomas Matos, Jeannie Berry-Matos, Oluwafemi Adeosun, Chimkama Ibe, Nora Anyanwu, and Emmanuel Anyanwu, claim they have not received any returns on their investments.
The Matos family, for example, invested $60,000 in June 2022 and an additional $65,000 in January 2023 with the promise of significant returns. Despite their efforts to reach out to Nantomah, they have not received any payments as agreed upon.
Similar complaints have been filed by other investors who allege they have been scammed by Nantomah, with claims of payments made for property flipping projects that were never fulfilled.
BizTimes Media attempted to contact Nantomah for a response to the allegations, but he did not respond to an email request for comment. When reached by phone, a person answered and claimed the number was incorrect before hanging up.
As the legal battle unfolds, investors are seeking justice and hoping to recover the money they entrusted to Nantomah’s business, Investors Capital LLC.
